1.1 Commodore The President of CCSC Inc. shall be the Commodore
1.2 Vice Commodore The Vice President of CCSC Inc. shall be the Vice Commodore
1.3 Rear Commodore
The Committee shall elect one of its Ordinary Committee members to be the
Rear Commodore of CCSC whose primary responsibility shall be the maintenance of the club’s infrastructure.
1.4 Sailing Sub-Committee
The Committee shall nominate a Chair and members of the Sailing Committee whose primary responsibility shall be to administer a sailing program.
The Chair of the Sailing Sub Committee shall be the Club Captain.
The Sailing Sub Committee shall determine one of its members
to be the Club Bosun
1.5 Review Sub-Committee
If approved at an Annual General Meeting, the Committee shall nominate a Chair and members of the Review Committee whose primary responsibility shall be to review the Financial Statements prepared by the Treasurer prior to presentation at the next AGM.
1.6 Catering Sub-Committee
The Committee shall nominate a Chair and members of the Catering Committee whose primary responsibility shall be to maintain catering facilities and cater for major events at the CCSC.
Members shall acquaint themselves with the obligations under the Liquor Act and shall comply with the Liquor License held by CCSC.
CCSC has limited rights for camping under its lease and campers shall at all times comply with those provisions, and in particular:-
3.1 Campers must leave the club in a same or better state than their arrival, and have due respect to other members using the club. Campers shall not take over the kitchen, main room or other spaces, and shall at all times make non-camping members welcome.
3.2 Non-Member/Associate Member camping may only take place by direct invitation and supervision of a Full Member. Note: See “By Law - Associate Members”
3.3 Members are accountable for their own, and the actions of Non-Members/Associate Members, including cost of repair and rectification. Members are responsible for the collection of camping fees from Non-Members/Associate Members.
3.4 Camping fees can be paid into the club cash drawer, or by EFT to the club account prior to the first night.
3.5 All Non-Members shall sign the visitor’s book and sign a camping indemnity form. Members are responsible for ensuring that this indemnity form is signed prior to camping, and a complete copy should be left under the cash tin in the kitchen.
3.6 Camping is permitted to Members where the camping day(s) correspond with events in the sailing calendar, such as our weekly racing schedule, our Regatta, and Titles. Outside these events, Members must apply to the committee for approval in advance.
3.7 Only tents are permitted (no caravans, etc).
3.8 Camping shall only take place on club grounds. Camp set up shall be limited to the area adjacent to the Northern Perimeter fence, and not impinge on the access lane (running East West between the pump shed and gentleman’s amenities). Camping in this area is on a first in, first serve basis, and campers shall not take up an unreasonable amount of space.
3.9 Campers should limit noise after 10pm and before 7am, and respect fellow campers.
3.10 Campers shall not use the club Kitchen or Main room where the club has been exclusively pre-booked for a function. Due respect to the function attendee’s is required.
3.11 Activities within the club house and grounds are to abide by the rules of the club liquor license.
3.12 Camping during regatta’s is subject to regatta rules and requirements which supersede this policy in the event of conflicting terms.
3.13 Camping is a privilege and not a right. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the loss of such privilege, and impact the availability of camping for other members.
3.14 Exceptions to this policy require the consent of the club committee.

4.1 The facilities are available for hire on any day other than nominated sailing days, club events, and days pre-booked for hire, unless by prior agreement with the club committee.
4.2 The member rate is applicable where the principal hirer is a member who accepts responsibility.
4.3 Where the hiring party is not a member, they shall complete a hiring agreement (attached) and provide a bond.
4.4 All enquiries regarding hire are to be referred to the Secretary
4.5 The Secretary must ensure that all members are aware of any bookings. This will include amending the Sailing Calendar on the website, notice in Clubrooms and mail or email notification to each member.
4.6 Club hire shall strictly comply with the Club’s Liquor License. The Club Bar may only be tended by an Adult Club Member familiar with the rules regarding the responsible serving of alcohol.
4.7 Non-member functions must be supervised by a Member at all times.
4.8 The hiring party must leave the club facilities in the same or better state than their arrival, unless additional cleaning arrangements have been negotiated.
4.9 Non-member hiring parties may not use club operational equipment, including but not limited to sailing and rescue craft.
4.10 Members hiring the facility are accountable for their own, and the actions of non-members, including cost of repair and rectification.
4.11 All non-members shall sign the visitor’s book
4.12 Exceptions to this hire policy require the consent of the club committee.
The clubhouse has been designated Smoke Free and members and guests shall refrain from smoking in all parts of the clubhouse.
CCSC does not permit animals anywhere within the club boundaries. The only exception is assistance animals for the disabled which must be supervised and under control of their owners at all times.
7.1 The boats and equipment are provided free of charge for training purposes and sanctioned club events.
7.2 Members wishing to use the boats and equipment for any other purpose are subject to payment of a refundable bond of $100. Should the boats or equipment be damaged, the bond will be retained until all necessary repairs or replacement occurs.
7.3 Boats and Equipment are not provided for exclusive use by any particular member and are available on a first come/first serve basis.
7.4 Users must leave the equipment in a same or better state than prior to their use, allowing for normal wear and tear.
7.5 All equipment must be returned to its correct storage location.
7.6 Members are accountable for their own, and the actions of guests, including all costs of repair and rectification.
7.7 Boats and equipment shall not leave the club premises without the approval of the committee.
7.8 Use of any equipment is a privilege and not a right. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the loss of such privilege, and impact the availability of use for other members.
7.9 Exceptions to this policy require the consent of the club committee.
People who visit CCSC as prospective members shall be entitled to visit on four occasions.
Associate members will not: -
9.1 Have voting rights.
9.2 Be provided with a key that allows uninterrupted access to the Club premises or grounds.
9.3 Have access to Club Boats unless supervised by a Full Member.
9.4 Have access to camping rights at the Club.
9.5 Have the right to store boats at the Club unless they are under the age of 18 years and approval is granted by the Committee.
Proposed Members who satisfy the Committee on application to be a Member that they have limited experience in the sport of sailing are entitled to a fee discount (as determined at an AGM each year) for a maximum period of two years.
